Colour-Blocking

Hello fashionistas from around the world. I'm so excited about this blog, I have a lot to share with all of you. Anyone who knows me knows that I love fashion, and I'm always on the look out for the "NEXT BIG THING". It is currently getting colder & colder in Johannesburg and a fun way for us to keep warm is to wear colourful clothing, which brings me to the PHENOMENON which is COLOUR-BLOCKING. I don't know who came up with it, but I love it. Gone are the days when we have to match our outfits to the same colour, we can go big! From wearing orange with pink, to red and blue. Anyways here are a few pics to demonstrate what I'm talking about.

Joy & Peace!!!!!

Good morning friends...what a lovely(though cold) friday morning. Oh yes...our keyword is FRIDAY!!!! Lol I don't know about you, but knowing that i'm a few hours away from my weekend sure gets me all happy and excited *huge smile*. So I haven't blogged in a few weeks right??well i've been very busy with school and theatre. The reason I'm blogging today is because I just couldn't hold it anymore, I just had to share with everyone how awesome God is and how blessed we all are as his children. I woke up with a big smile this morning at 6am and it hasn't stopped. It takes courage to dream and to go after your dreams, but it is such a rewarding amazing feeling to see them come to life. That awesome moment when you are insync with God's perfect plan and path for your life...words can not describe that feeling of being blessed beyond measure. And that's exactly where my life is. I have so much Joy and Peace. The bible says that the peace that God gives you, the world can not take it away...and it's true, i'm experiencing it right now. Joy unspeakable and full of Glory!!!Yeah? yes.
On that note, have an amazing weekend filled with love. My weekend is going to be filled with theatre, theatre and some more theatre... first i'm rehearsing for a play on saturday, then i'm watching a play on sunday.

I have had a pretty hectic week, and I think I'm allowed to say T.G.I.F lol. Anyways here's something that got passed onto me and I was told to share it with all my girlfriends. Have a fabulous weekend friends. God Bless you!!!

My Current State of mind!!!

I have been contemplating on a few things today, in a world where almost everything is fake, from hair, nails to super-skinny supermodels, I think it's very important to preserve as much truth and genuity as much as we possibly can. A world with no fear of revealing who we truly are, a world with no judgement what-so-ever. A world where self-expression is not loathed, a world with intergrity. I am a free-spirit, I love my space and being able to express my thoughts. Not a lot of people know this, but I'm a very private person, very careful about who I let into my life. That being said, I absolutely love meeting new people. I'm an enthusiast, a dreamer and a believer. No matter what I go through I always have hope, whether I go to bed feeling sad or crying...the dawn of a new day just cheers me up, and I just can't help but smile regardless. I have also developed a thick skin and really not much can get me down. Growing up is a process, and the more you grow the more you should be able to determine what you want and need in your life. I have just recently done that, this process of finding your true-self is not an easy task. A friend once said to me, as a person, you have to learn to spend time on your own, and she emphasized how hard of a process it was to learn to be comfortable with your-self, but emphasized the rewards to be reaped much later. I have seen a pattern in my life, a pattern I have decided to stop with immediate effect. I have to let go of some friendships simply because they are not fruitful in any way. These people have chosen to live through me vicariously and I won't allow it anymore. Instead of embracing who God has made them to be, they are hell-bent on being me! Everything I do, they also want to do and constantly secretly compete with me. I'm really trully blessed that I know who I am and God's will for my life. I'm running my own race and totally refuse to cempete with anyone. These are the kind of toxic relationships that no one should be in, and quite frankly, I'm excited about starting something fresh and new. Envy is very serious and sad because the more envious you become, the more I achieve great things. I would rather have one true friend than ten friends who don't wish me well. As I like to say, "salvation is personal", so i'm sure you're a great person and I trully wish you well in your life...but I'm sorry, we just can't be friends, God Bless you. And to all my true sistas, true to themselves and true to their world, I thank God for you and am trully blessed to have you in my life. Let's toast to years of true friendship, sistahood ALL THE WAY!!!!!

Happy New Year guys!!!!

I hope i'm not too late to wish everyone a very prosperious 2012. I can't believe it's already mid-february, it sure seems like this year is already on its way to the end. Anyways, let's not despair for we still have time to achieve all our goals. I can proudly say that I have gladly ticked off a few things that were on my 'To do list' for the year. This year I plan on being me, discovering and cherishing the person that God created me to be. I want to develop new and meaningful relationships, my kind of girlfriends are girls who 'Run The World', i'm tired of associating with insecure young women who don't realise that they are worth gold, just the way they are. People need to realise that God created us differently for a purpose, we are not competing with each other but rather, we are fulfilling God's calling in our lives. The only thing one should be competing with is their past, make today better than yesterday... And that's how i'm living. I want to inspire every person I meet, I'm going to show everyone love and bring out the best in others. I have BIG PLANS this year and soon enough everyone will know what they are. In the meantime, i'm living my life like it's Golden....NO SCRATCH THAT. I'm living my life coz it's GOLDEN. I will try to blog as much as possible this year, especially on sundays because those are my reflection days. Have a great week guys, and make the most of every moment!!
