MUSIC THEATRE DANCE LIFE!
Good morning Friends...today is a cold yet beautiful day! We are glad and blessed to be alive, right? right! I can't believe that the end of June is upon us, and worst of all...I haven't blogged in a while! Lol my apologies. It's just that my mind has been all over the place! I've so busy and exhausted all at the same time, but I've been having an amazing time. There comes a time in one's life when everything is going according to plan, a time when all your dreams are being realised! And can I just say what a wonderful feeling it is to see your dreams coming alive. I've been working with two of the most incredible directors on a theatre play i'm currently starring in. Needless to say I have learnt a lot from them. Acting is a lot of hardwork and determination but nothing exceeds that feeling of doing something you were born to do, fulfilling your calling so to say! In the play we do some dancing & singing scenes too, and what that has taught me is focus. Dance teaches you discipline, in the sense that when doing your dance-routines coordination is everything. You find that your hands are doing one thing, while your feet are doing something else, and you have to incorporate that with some singing. Dance also teaches you to be confident, in order to be a good dancer you have to show the audience that you enjoy what you do, hence you will find most dancers standing upright with their chests out and a smile. Once you master all these elements, you are well on your way to becoming a great dancer. And ofcourse this takes hours and hours of rehearsals, tomorrow is saturday and we are spending the whole day in rehearsals in order to prepare for our show on sunday. Nothings beats being sorrounded by artists, there is never a dull moment at rehearsals. My social life is non-existant currently and i think it's going to be like that for a while, but i'm happy with that. This morning I woke up and realised how blessed with amazing people I am. Yesterday, I spent the whole day smilling beacuse my gorgeous friend Ntswaki(Vee) is getting married, and moving to her new home with the Fiance in Krugersdorp. Gosh, I was brimming as we chatted away via email. I'm extremely over-joyed for her as she deserves nothing but the best things that life has to offer. She is the most amazing friend I've ever had and she's always there for me, she's just very sweet and genuine. In life, when you find friends like her, you should hold-on tight ( I love u Vee). Then this morning, while I was still trying to wrap my head around how cold it is...I got a bbm from my beautiful baby sista and business partner Tehillah(Tessy). Chatting to her just made my day, she always manages to make me smile. She just has a very graced spirit and she is love-personified. I thank God for her. One thing I have learnt in this life, is that we create our own family..and these two amazing ladies are my family. I'm truly Blessed to have them in my life. I finally understand the difference between living and existing, and it sure feels great to be living! Have a blessed weekend friends and please keep warm where ever you are.
